Electrode Pads are an absolute necessity to ensure your defibrillator can give a life-saving shock to the casualty. We have a large array of pads which are designed exclusively for your chosen defibrillator to ensure it works effectively to save the life of a patient.
Shelf Life of Pads
Don't forget, electrode pads can only be used once before they need to be replaced, so it's always a good idea to have a spare set with your defibrillator or rescue kit to ensure you're able to deliver a shock in an emergency situation.
The shelf life of defibrillator pads vary, so keep this in mind when you're shopping for your perfect pair, it could be beneficial cost-wise to invest in a few pairs which you can store with your defibrillator to avoid recurring replacement costs and to ensure you always have a spare set on site.
We also stock paediatric pads which you should have available with your defibrillator should your unit ever need to be used to help a child after a sudden cardiac arrest. Most paediatric electrode pads reduce the shock level from the usual 150 joule adult pads to 50 joules to protect the child and are usually placed slightly different on the body.
Paediatric defibrillator pads are to be used on children from the ages of 1-8 years old. Any child over the age of 8 can be shocked with the usual adult pads whilst it is advised that a defibrillator is not used on a child under the age of 1.
