Outdoor cabinets provide protection against harsh weather conditions when storing a defibrillator outside.

Cabinets are suitable for a variety of defibrillator models and are configurable to have either a lock or no lock. Placing a defibrillator in a cabinet also helps the public easily identify it's location.

Delivering treatment within 3-5 minutes after Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) increases survival chance from 6% to 74%. Delays in treatment decrease survival chance by 10% per minute.

What is the purpose of an Outdoor Cabinet for defibrillators?

Outdoor cabinets protect your defibrillator in all weather conditions. They are necessary to help protect your device from extreme hot/cold temperatures, and water in the event of showers or heavy rain, all of which could cause damage to either the casing or interior components of your device. Outdoor cabinets also provide security, protecting your defibrillator against theft or misuse with locked cabinet options available.

What are the different types of outdoor cabinets available at defibshop?

At defibshop, we offer a wide selection of outdoor cabinets to suit different needs. These include bleed control cabinets for storing bleed kits, and defibrillator cabinets with heating and/or lighting, locked/unlocked and alarmed/unalarmed options. This helps guardians or health and safety personnel store any emergency equipment securely outdoors and ensure it is visible and accessible for public use.

Which outdoor cabinet is suitable for my defibrillator?

All of our defibrillator-specific cabinets are suitable, whichever model you choose. When choosing an outdoor cabinet, consider which location your defibrillator is to be stored, whether it needs to be locked/unlocked or alarmed, and any other environmental factors affecting how your defibrillator needs to be stored.

How do I remove my defibrillator from an outdoor cabinet when needed in an emergency?

If your outdoor cabinet has a lock, you’ll need to enter a code into the digital keypad to unlock it. Any bystanders accessing your defibrillator will need to call 999 for the access code, so bear this in mind if choosing a locked outdoor cabinet for your device.

How do I know if my defibrillator needs to be stored in an outdoor cabinet?

If your defibrillator is to be stored outdoors, then you’ll need an outdoor storage cabinet. This helps keep your device safe, secure and at optimum working temperature when using heated options to protect your defibrillator in adverse or extreme weather conditions.
