How do I apply the CU Medical Systems iPAD CU-SPR Adult/Paediatric Electrode Pads on women and male casualties?
To apply the CU Medical Systems iPAD CU-SPR Adult/Paediatric Electrode Pads, start by removing them from their protective foil packaging. The adhesive material can dry out quickly once exposed, so apply them immediately to the casualty after opening.
- Male: Shave the chest area if needed and move clothing aside. Place one pad on the upper right side of the chest and the second on the lower left side.
- Female: Ensure clothing is moved aside to expose the chest fully. If needed, adjust placement to avoid breast tissue, placing one pad on the upper right side of the chest and the second on the lower left side.
Continue the prompts as guided by the iPAD CU-SPR until emergency services arrive.

For casualties aged over 8 years or weighing more than 25kg, set the defibrillator to ‘Adult Mode.’ For those under 8 years old or weighing less than 25kg, switch to ‘Child Mode’ to ensure appropriate treatment.
