ZOLL have been developing medical devices and software solutions since 1952 to help advance emergency care and save lives. Designed with simplicity in mind, the ZOLL defibrillator range ensures both trained and untrained responders can feel confident in delivering treatment during an emergency.
With their distinctive green design, ZOLL AEDs do not go unnoticed, allowing for quick retrieval in the unfortunate event a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).
Anyone can suffer a Sudden Cardiac Arrest, at any time or place. Providing treatment within 3-5 minutes of collapse significantly increases their survival chance from 6% to 74%.
Why do electrode pads need replacing?
Electrode pads have a shelf life of 1-5 years. This is dependent on the make and model of your defibrillator.
The gel covering the pads are likely to be ineffective in adhering to the skin to analyse the heart and deliver a shock if one is required beyond the expiration date.
Why does a defibrillator need a replacement battery?
Batteries have a shelf life of 2-7 years depending on the make and model of your defibrillator.
Batteries allow the unit to carry out regular self-tests to ensure your defibrillator remains in working order. Batteries also provide the power needed to deliver a potentially life-saving shock to a person in cardiac arrest.
