Which AED starter kit is right for my organisation?
The right AED starter kit depends on your requirements and environment. Why do I need a defibrillator starter kit?
An AED starter kit is ideal if your organisation does not currently have a defibrillator or needs a complete emergency set-up. Each kit includes a defibrillator, wall bracket, signage, and storage solution, providing a cost-effective and convenient way to equip your space with everything required for an emergency response.
How should I use my defibrillator pack?
Use the wall bracket included to mount your defibrillator to an interior wall. If you wish to store your AED outdoors, you’ll need a defibrillator outdoor cabinet to keep it safe. Wherever you choose to store your defibrillator, make sure it is highly visible and accessible. Use the signage included in your starter pack to signpost your AED’s location and help bystanders find it quickly in an emergency.
How long does an AED starter kit last?
The defibrillator included in your AED starter kit typically has a service life of 8 to 10 years, depending on the model and maintenance schedule. With regular checks and proper care, it will remain reliable and ready for use throughout this period.
Pads usually have a shelf life of 2-4 years, while batteries typically last between 4-5 years once installed. These components must be replaced before expiry to ensure your AED remains operational.
