Semi-Automatic AED or Fully Automatic AED: What is the difference?
The main difference between the machines is functionality. Semi-Automatic Defibrillators will ask the rescuer to press a button to deliver a shock to the casualty, leaving the treatment and delivery to the responder. A Fully Automatic Defibrillator will automate the whole process and deliver the shock automatically if required.
Are the electrodes pre-connected to the Lifeline Fully Automatic Defibrillator?
Yes, the adult defibrillation pads are pre-connected to the AED. They save valuable time.
How does the Exclusive Starter Kit provide support to beginners?
It’s advisable to be trained in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). One of the features included in the Starter Kit is 12 places on the TQUK Level 2 Award in CPR and AED Training.
The intensive 4-hour course will allow students to administer vital life-saving treatments that will increase a casualty's chance of survival.
How do you know if Lifeline AED Fully Automatic is ready for use?
You'll find a status indicator on all Lifeline AED Fully Automatic Defibrillators. A small green status light will indicate if the unit has passed its self-test and is ready for use. If the unit shows a red light, there is an error, and the device needs attention.
