What defibrillator is the CU Medical Systems iPAD NFK200 Adult/ Paediatric Electrode Pads compatible with?
The CU Medical Systems iPAD NFK200 Adult/Paediatric Electrode Pads are compatible with the iPAD NFK200 defibrillator unit. These pads can be used on adults and children (aged 1-8 years and under 25kg or 55 lbs), as long as the defibrillator is switched to the correct mode. The pads are pre-connected to save valuable time during Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
How long do the CU Medical Systems iPAD NFK200 Adult/Paediatric Electrode Pads last?
The CU Medical Systems iPAD NFK200 Adult/Paediatric Electrode Pads have a shelf life of 36 months, equivalent to 3 years. To sustain the longevity of the pads and ensure your iPAD NFK200 defibrillator is always ready for use during Sudden Cardiac Arrest, it’s important to regularly check the expiration date.
Defibrillator pads play a crucial role in emergencies, allowing a defibrillator to analyse the heart’s rhythm. Expired pads may compromise the defibrillator's ability to deliver a lifesaving shock, limiting survival chances. Since electrode pads are single-use, you should replace them after each use, even if no shock was delivered. We always recommend having a spare set of pads.
What is the benefit of having pre-connected pads in emergencies?
The CU Medical Systems iPAD NFK200 Adult/Paediatric Electrode Pads come pre-connected, saving crucial time during emergencies. Having pre-connected pads means they will be rescue-ready when you need them.
As part of the iPAD NFK200 defibrillator’s daily self-checks, the defibrillator automatically monitors pad status and expiry to ensure they’re in good working condition. This further enhances emergency preparedness, as the defibrillator will alert you if it detects any issues with the pads.
How do I set up the CU Medical Systems iPAD NFK200 Adult/Paediatric Electrode Pads for use?
To set up the CU Medical Systems iPAD NFK200 Adult/Paediatric Electrode Pads, remove them from the pads storage compartment of the iPAD NFK200 defibrillator and open the pads package. The adhesive material dries out as soon as the package is opened, so prepare to apply the pads to the casualty's chest immediately.
Place the pads on the casualty chest and ensure the defibrillator is set to the appropriate mode (adult mode for casualties over 8 years old and more than 25kg and paediatric mode for those under 8 years old and weighing less than 8kg). The iPAD NFK200 defibrillator will then analyse the casualty's heart rhythm and determine if a shock is needed, providing clear voice prompts to guide the responder through defibrillation and pad application. For more detailed instructions, refer to the NFK200 Instructions for Use guide.
