When the ZOLL AED Plus Fully Automatic detects a shockable heart rhythm, it will deliver a shock on its own. The responder does not need to press any buttons or initiate any defibrillation. The ZOLL AED Plus Fully Automatic will send a voice prompt saying ‘Don't Touch Patient’. Once this has been spoken, the heart analysis begins. If a shock is needed, the defibrillator will deliver the shock automatically after a verbal countdown.
What are the benefits of the ZOLL AED Plus Fully Automatic?
The ZOLL AED Plus Fully Automatic makes it easier for users to deliver a shock to their patients. With Real CPR Help, responders are given visual and audio prompts, significantly benefiting less experienced/confident responders.
The ZOLL AED Plus has a five-year has a five-year warranty (extended by 2 years when registered) and is suitable for various environments. With an IP rating of 55, the device is protected from dust and water. If you’re worried about locating your defibrillator, the ZOLL AED Plus adopts a bright green outer shell, helping the device stand out in an emergency.
Can the ZOLL AED Plus Fully Automatic provide treatment for a child?
Yes, however, the AED pads needed for treatment are not included when you purchase the ZOLL AED Plus. You have to buy the ZOLL Paediatric Pedi Padz separately. Paediatric pads reduce the defibrillator's expected 150-joule shock output to a safer level for children aged 1 to 8.
Does the ZOLL AED Plus provide CPR feedback?
The ZOLL AED Plus features real CPR help technology. CPR feedback and metronome ensure CPR consistency delivery. Voice prompts provide real-time data on the depth and speed of your chest compressions and enable you to provide the best CPR during a rescue.
The device will tell you to ‘push harder’ if you are not pushing hard enough. A metronome will lead you to the correct rate if you're not moving fast enough, and if your compressions do not need to be altered, you will hear “Good Compressions.”
