Designed for both trained and untrained responders in mind, the Philips FRx defibrillator ensures responders of all levels are capable of using the defibrillator during an emergency whilst feeling confident in the treatment they're delivering.
What is included in the Philips Heartstart FRx defibrillator package?
The Philips Heartstart FRx defibrillator package includes the Philips Heartstart FRx with one set of Smart II pads and a non-rechargeable battery installed. There is also a carry case to protect the device, along with a free Child/Infant key. When inserted, the Child/Infant key automatically reduces the energy level of the shock and adapts CPR guidance for use on casualties under 8 years old or weighing less than 25 kg (55 lbs). This feature removes the need for specific paediatric pads, saving time and simplifying the response in an emergency.
Can I use the Philips Heartstart FRx defibrillator in outdoor environments?
Yes. The Philips Heartstart FRx defibrillator is given a rugged, durable design that makes it ideal for use in outdoor environments. It is built to withstand extreme temperatures and conditions, along with up to 500kg of weight, and drops from 1.2 metres.
Is the Philips Heartstart FRx suitable for children?
Yes. With the free Child/Infant key included in the Philips Heartstart FRx defibrillator package, this makes the device ready in the event of a child or infant suffering a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). All you need to do is insert the key into the Philips Heartstart FRx, and the device will then reduce the energy output to make it suitable for younger casualties. Note this is defined as children under 8 years old, or those who weigh less than 55lbs (25kg).
How do I know when to replace the battery or pads in my Philips Heartstart FRx?
Replace the electrode pads in your Philips HeartStart FRx every two years, or immediately after use. The non-rechargeable battery has a five-year shelf life, which reduces to four years once installed. If there is a problem with your battery requiring a replacement, you may also be alerted through a notification on your device. To help you keep on top of maintenance, take advantage of our free battery and pad reminder service.
Who can use the Philips Heartstart FRx defibrillator package?
The Philips Heartstart FRx defibrillator package can be used by anyone - whether trained or untrained. Its simple design and easy-to-follow audible and visual prompts make it reliable in an SCA emergency, ensuring everyone is equipped to save a life.
