If you’re looking to be prepared for all cardiac situations, which can affect anyone no matter what their age or gender, then having an FRx Child/Infant Key enables the Philips FRx defibrillator to be used on children aged 1 to 8 years old.
Once the key is inserted, the defibrillator recognises the patient is a child and adjusts the joule output to a safe and suitable level for their heart.

How to use
Enabling you to be fully prepared in the event of a child suffering a sudden cardiac arrest, the Philips FRx Child/Infant Key is an essential tool for converting the joule output to that which is suitable for the heart of a child.
Once inserted into the defibrillator, the key also enables the AED to convert the CPR prompts which are provided to those which are recommended for use on a child. The unit provides voice and visual instructions and CPR coaching designed to help give a child the best chance of survival following a cardiac arrest.
