The CPR-D Padz are a reliable tool for performing effective resuscitation. Not only do these pads have clear diagrams for correct pad placement, but the CPR aid measures the rate and depth of compressions prompting trainee responders if they need to improve their technique.
With an improved formula of polymer gel adhesive, these pads have the longest shelf-life on the market, with a replacement only required every 5 years. This enables businesses and other organisations to enjoy cost savings, avoiding frequent replacements over time.
How to Use
These pads are specifically used alongside ZOLL AED Trainer Units to demonstrate where to place the pads on CPR training manikins. Once the pads are removed from their compartment and placed on the casualty as shown on the diagram, the defibrillator will then simulate the heart rhythm analysis stage with various different outcomes depending on the training mode selected (i.e where a shock is needed or a non-shockable outcome is confirmed).

They do come with a 5-year expiry date, after which point the adhesive gel backing is likely to have dried out. It’s recommended to replace your training pads at this point to ensure all trainees have the ability to practice accurate and effective pad placement and CPR delivery and simulate a realistic experience.
How do I use the ZOLL Training CPR-D Padz in a training session?
To use ZOLL Training CPR-D Padz in a training session, follow these steps:
- Connect the pads to your ZOLL AED Trainer Unit and switch it on, selecting the desired training mode.
- Follow the prompts provided by the training unit, including applying the training pads on a training manikin when instructed.
- Use the visual and/or audible guidance provided by your training unit to practice delivering CPR, and use feedback from the device to improve performance.
- After use, remove the training pads from the manikin and place back inside the packaging to store with your training unit to keep everything together.
Are ZOLL’s Replacement Training CPR-D Padz suitable for use with the ZOLL AED Plus?
No. ZOLL’s Replacement Training CPR-D Padz are not suitable for the live ZOLL AED Plus defibrillator. Since they are training pads and not designed for use in a genuine emergency, these replacement training pads are only suitable for use with ZOLL AED Trainer Units. Training pads do not contain the electrode function that normal defibrillator pads are designed for, so they will not work with a live ZOLL defibrillator.
