What is the Primedic HeartSave Y & YA Li-ion Battery? 

The Primedic HeartSave Y & YA Li-ion Battery is compatible with the HeartSave Y (Semi-Automatic) and YA (Fully Automatic) defibrillators. The disposable Li-ion battery has a lifespan of 4-5 years and delivers a minimum of 150 shocks. 
An adequate power supply is crucial for effective treatment during Sudden Cardiac Arrest.

What are the signs batteries need replacing on Primedic HeartSave Y Semi and YA Fully Automatic defibrillators? 

The battery will need replacing if it fails self-checks, doesn’t have enough power to operate, or if there’s a failing status indicator. Any issues with the battery will show up in the display by a marked cross. Regular checks of the battery and electrode pads are necessary to maintain the readiness of the defibrillator. We offer a free battery and pad reminder service to notify you when your battery is due for replacement.

How do I install the Primedic HeartSave Y & YA Li-ion Battery?

To install the Primedic HeartSave Y & Ya Li-ion Battery, place the defibrillator top down on a flat surface. Insert the new battery into the defibrillator until it slots securely into place. After installation, the defibrillator will perform a self-test to ensure readiness. Follow the visual instructions in the Primedic user guide for detailed steps on inserting and removing the battery. Always check the expiry date before installing the battery to ensure the defibrillator is prepared for emergencies.
