How do I know when the Lifepak CR2 Fully-Automatic Defibrillator is ready to use?
A readiness indicator on the Lifepak CR2 Fully-Automatic Defibrillator flashes every six seconds to signal that the device is ready for use. If the readiness indicator turns red and starts chirping the device is in need of maintenance.
Thanks to the LIFELINKcentral technology, owners of the device will receive an email highlighting the issue with the device if this has been set up. This includes when a battery or set of electrodes are about to expire or when the device fails a self-test.
What is LIFELINKcentral?
LIFELINKcentral is a cloud-based online programme that may be added to any CR2 defibrillator. The technology enables owners to assess the working ability of their devices remotely, sends them information when the device needs maintenance, and can transfer data when the device is used. It gives owners confidence in knowing their device is in working order while also saving them time and money.
What accessories are included with the Lifepak CR2 Fully-Automatic Defibrillator?
The Lifepak CR2 Fully-Automatic Defibrillator includes an electrode pad kit, a CR2 battery, an AED armor rescue kit, 3D wall signs, and a choice of a locked or unlocked cabinet.
Do I need a locked or unlocked armor cabinet?
Knowing which cabinet you’ll need depends on where you intend to store your defibrillator. If placing it outside, you may consider a locked cabinet to protect it from theft. If you’re storing your defibrillator in an enclosed office space, an unlocked cabinet may be your preferred choice.
The main difference between a locked and an unlocked cabinet is that one requires a code to access the device. A locked cabinet is protected by a combination lock, meaning it can only be accessed by someone who knows the code. During a Sudden Cardiac Arrest emergency, responders can retrieve the code from the ambulance service if the device is registered. An unlocked cabinet does not have a lock, and anyone can access the device anytime.
