Designed to fully simulate the functions and features of a clinical Lifepak CR2, the Lifepak CR2 training unit provides learners with a realistic training experience, tailored to the unit. Students will learn how the device responds during a real cardiac emergency at each stage of the rescue process, so if the clinical device was required in a emergency, they would know exactly what to expect from the defibrillator and what prompts it provides to assist with the rescue.

A versatile training device, the LIFEPAK CR2 Trainer features customisable training scenarios and ClearVoice™ technology, which automatically adjusts volume levels to ensure voice prompts remain clear, even in busy environments.
How is the Physio Control Lifepak CR2 Trainer different from a real AED?
The Physio Control Lifepak CR2 Trainer simulates all the features of the CR2 AED, without delivering an actual shock during the defibrillation process. This enables trainees to familiarise themselves with the AED’s features in a safe, controlled environment realistic to an emergency. Mimicking both visual and audible prompts, learners are able to increase their confidence using the CR2 AED for enhanced emergency preparedness.
Who can use the Physio Lifepak CR2 Trainer?
The Physio Lifepak CR2 Trainer is designed for all users - from trained emergency learners to those with little to no first-aid experience. It features the same user-friendly interface as the CR2 defibrillator, with pre-set demos for both fully-automatic or semi-automatic mode, and a walk-through of cprINSIGHT™ analysis technology. The trainer automatically detects when pressure is placed on the training pads provided and begins the training session, removing the need for a remote control.
Is the Physio Control Lifepak CR2 Trainer suitable for CPR practice?
Yes. The Physio Control Lifepak CR2 Trainer features CPR coaching, providing clear, well-paced voice commands for ease of use. A built-in CPR metronome provides practical feedback on the depth and quality of chest compressions, improving emergency response. Time options include short, 60s, 120s, and 180s enabling responders to customise their CPR training session according to their preferences.
Does the Physio Control Lifepak CR2 Trainer require any maintenance?
The Physio Control Lifepak CR2 Trainer is designed to be low-maintenance, with reusable training pads increasing cost-efficiency. The trainer uses four non-rechargeable D-cell alkaline batteries, which offer up to 100 hours of continuous operation at volume 4. Once depleted, the batteries require replacing, while new training pads are recommended once your current set begins to dry out. This helps facilitate more realistic training sessions, with users able to practice accurate pad placement on a training manikin.
