A Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) can happen anywhere, even on public transport. Defibrillators on public transportation are equally as crucial as those kept elsewhere, and having one close when travelling is essential. With 20% of SCAs occurring in public places, everyone is safer with more defibrillators on buses, trams, and trains.

Should public transport staff be trained in CPR and AED usage?
This is dependent on the company and its policies. However, we believe in equipping everyone with the means to save a life; included in our Philips Heartstart HS1 Public Transport Package, you are given access to the TQUK Level 2 Award in CPR & AED (RQF) training course.
The course is ideal for those working in a range of environments. The session lasts up to 4 hours and will provide participants with the assurance they need to use an AED and do CPR correctly. They will learn how to administer this therapy and be shown the conditions under which CPR and AEDs are suitable.
What happens if my Philips Heartstart HS1 is no longer working?
The Philips Heartstart HS1 Public Transport Package comes with an 8-year warranty. Your warranty will protect your unit if you have followed the labelling and instructions for use, maintained it properly, and is free from material or workmanship defects.
