3 reasons to choose defibshop - Restart a Heart Day 2016

Thought defibshop was all AEDs and electrode pads?
WRONG!
Okay, maybe kind of right. But creating Heart Safe environments with our life-saving defibs is not the only thing we do, oh no – did you know we can also turn you and your colleagues into quick, effective and confident first aiders? You bet your first aid kit we can!
As well as offering impartial advice on all of our devices, we also provide nationally accredited CPR and AED training to provide you with the life-saving skills and confidence to take action in an emergency situation and to help increase chances of survival of a victim of cardiac arrest.
While there are many reasons why we think you should choose to learn with defibshop, we thought we’d provide you with just 3 of the reasons why we think we’re the bee’s knees in this particular area of expertise;
The Confidence to Save a LifeWhen faced with an emergency situation, ultimately the confidence to save a life outweighs ability; you may have the skills to act, but do you have the confidence to put them into practice?
When learning with defibshop, our experienced trainers will take you through every step of the rescue process and will give you the chance to act out multiple scenarios to increase your ability to adapt to any obstacle which may present itself when dealing with an emergency situation.
Not only does this method of training help to prepare you, but it also provides the learner with a realistic idea of the potential issues they may have to deal with whilst trying to administer life-saving care to a casualty.
With plenty of time to get your practice in during our courses, our trainers will ensure you leave feeling satisfied and confident in your ability to administer your CPR skills in the event of a cardiac arrest so you are able to take action to help preserve the life of a cardiac arrest victim.
A Nationally-Accredited QualificationWhile an AED can be used with no prior training to successfully save a life, performing CPR can be a daunting prospect and so we do advise training in this area so you can be confident in the treatment you are providing to a casualty.
With our nationally-accredited training, you will be taught how to provide the most effective CPR to a victim of cardiac arrest. Studies show that early bystander CPR can double a person’s survival chances by keeping their heart in a shockable rhythm and maintaining a steady blood flow to all the vital organs, most importantly to the brain.
As a company which likes to go above and beyond with its services, we ensure that our training exceeds the core competencies which are laid down by the Resuscitation Council UK. This gives you peace of mind that you are getting not only the most advanced and up-to-date training around but also the confidence and knowledge of how to save a life should you come across a victim needing medical care.
A Skill for Life and a Life-Saving SkillOnce you have successfully completed our accredited CPR and AED course, you’ll be fully qualified to practice your skills for 3 years. After 3 years, you’ll simply need to complete a one-day refresher course to maintain your qualification.
Currently, approximately 30,000 sudden cardiac arrests occur outside of a hospital environment, of these less than 10% survived.
With more publically accessible AEDs available, and a wider knowledge across the nation of how to perform CPR, we can drastically change these results. So what do you say? Fancy gaining a qualification in a life-saving skill? We thought as much.
