Discontinuation of the LIFEPAK CR Plus

Since 2002, the LIFEPAK CR Plus has been Physio-Controls' (now part of Stryker) top of the line defibrillator. Recent announcements revealed the decision had been made to discontinue this life-saving device, so their focus can shift to bringing new technologies to their product portfolio.

As of April 1st 2019, the LIFEPAK CR Plus will be discontinued.

We realise that many of our customers are proud owners of the LIFEPAK CR Plus and will be wondering what the next steps are from here, so we've answered some of the FAQs to ensure everyone is informed going forwards:

I Still Want to Buy a CR Plus, Are They Available?

LIFEPAK CR Plus units will be available until June 2019. The devices will remain on defibshop's website until we run out of stock. They will then be removed from the website and unavailable for purchase.

Will the Accessories Still be Available?

It has been stated by Physio-Control (now part of Stryker) that they remain committed to supporting the LIFEPAK CR Plus devices that are still in circulation. Both the CHARGE-PAK battery chargers and electrode pads will still be available to purchase.

What about the Warranty?

Any LIFEPAK CR Plus that is purchased prior to April 1st 2019 will still carry the standard 8-year limited warranty.

I still want to Invest in a Physio Control defibrillator, what is available?

Going forward, Physio-Control's focus will be on the next generation of defibrillators, namely their latest innovation, the LIFEPAK CR2.

I don't want a Connected Defibrillator. Can I have a LIFEPAK CR2 without WiFi or 3G Connectivity?

Yes. Physio-Control have released the LIFEPAK CR2 USB defibrillator that does not feature 3G or WiFi capability or crp INSIGHT technology. This device is available in both fully and semi-automatic configurations.
