1. Research defibrillator models and rental packages 

The first step to renting a defibrillator, regardless of your specific needs or situation, is to conduct thorough research on the models offered and the various rental packages available. This is a crucial step, as defibrillator models vary depending on the circumstances.

• Length of defibrillator rental agreement: Rental agreements which are longer may offer lower daily rates.

2. Get in touch to request a defibrillator 

After you’ve researched the different defibrillator models and packages, the next stage is to fill out our defibrillator rental form and get in touch with us. This information will be passed on to defibmachines, the rental provider, who will then get in touch with you to recommend the most suitable model available for rent. 

Our defibrillator rental packages are designed to provide access to life-saving equipment in a way that suits your suit environment and budget. Services include:

•         Full installation of AED and wall bracket;

•         Onsite AED and refresher training from one of our Level 3 trainers;

•         Full Maintenance & Service of machine, including regular onsite Health Checks and pad/battery replacement;

•         Replacement of AED if ever used in an emergency or displaying an error message;

3. Prepare for the dispatch and delivery of your defibrillator 

Our defibrillator packages take into account the time frame needed for your defibrillator and any expected delays. 

For an efficient delivery, we recommend that you keep your team and any additional members up to date in case you are unable to respond promptly to our communication attempts. This ensures smooth coordination and avoids any delays in receiving and deploying the rented defibrillator when needed. 

 

4. Check the defibrillator is fully functional upon arrival 

Once you have received the defibrillator, ensure you check the model is fully functional upon arrival. Below are a few recommended safety checks to follow: 

• Power on and self test: Power on the defibrillator and allow it to perform a self-test to verify all systems are operational. 
• Battery status: Check the battery level and ensure it is fully charged or within acceptable operating parameters. 
• Device integrity: Check the physical condition of the defibrillator for any signs of damage or wear that could affect functionality. 
• Accessories: Verify that all necessary accessories, such as cables, the carrying case, batteries and replacement pads are included and in good condition.
• Documentation: Review the user manual and any provided documentation for instructions, maintenance requirements and emergency protocols.  

Performing these checks ensures that the defibrillator is ready for immediate use in case of an emergency. 

 

5. Adhere to the guidelines and safety protocols 

Defibrillator models vary based on the different environments they are used in and the training of the user. 

Ensure that the user adheres to the guidelines and safety protocols specific to the model you have rented. 

This includes handling during use and response procedures during a Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Our rental packages include AED maintenance, such as regular health checks and replacement pads and batteries, to ensure you can rely on the defibrillator’s readiness at all times, although, this does not negate regular visual checks. 6. Return your defibrillator to defibshop 

Finally, return your defibrillator to defibshop at the end of the rental period, ensuring all components and accessories are included and notify us once the return has been shipped. 

Consider taking photographic evidence once you receive your defibrillator and at the end of the rental period to ensure you have returned all necessary accessories and equipment. In case we need to contact you, please consider any emails you may receive from defibshop.
