Schiller is the first defibrillator manufacturer in the world to successfully shrink the technology needed to save lives into a pocket-sized device.

Schiller's range has a device to suit a variety of requirements and allows owners to create heart safe environments on-the-go.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) does not discriminate, striking anyone at any time or place. For every minute that passes without treatment, the chance of survival decreases by 10%.

Why do electrode pads need replacing?

Electrode pads have a shelf life of 1-5 years depending on the make and model of your defibrillator.

If used beyond the expiration date, the gel covering the pads are likely to be ineffective in adhering to the skin to analyse the heart and deliver a shock if one is required.

Why does a defibrillator need a replacement battery?

Batteries have a shelf life of 2-7 years depending on the make and model of your defibrillator.

Batteries allow the unit to carry out regular self-tests to ensure your defibrillator remains in working order. Batteries also provide the power needed to deliver a potentially life-saving shock to a person in cardiac arrest.

Are Schiller batteries universal?

Due to the differing sizes of Schiller’s defibrillators, the battery has to be specific to the model. Schiller is known for its pocket-sized FRED Easyport defibrillator, if you are looking for a replacement battery for this product, the Schiller Fred Easyport Lithium Battery is required.

What is the benefit of pre-connected electrode pads?

Defibshop stocks a range of pre-connected Schiller pads, this saves valuable time and allows the user to focus on attaching the pads to the patient's chest for effective treatment to be delivered.

What is the life expectancy for Schiller electrode pads and batteries?

Depending on the make and model, a Schiller battery lasts between 5 - 7 years. Like many  AED manufacturers, Schiller’s electrode pads last up to 2 years.

How do I replace a Schiller battery?

A replacement Schiller battery must be inserted into the defibrillator compartment. All that you need to do is attach the replacement pads and switch on the AED. Once the battery is replaced the AED will perform an automated check to ensure the defibrillator is in full working order. Follow the voice prompts for any additional steps.
