What is the CU Medical Systems iPAD NF1200/NF1201 Refresher Kit for?

The CU Medical Systems iPAD NF1200/NF1201 Refresher Kit is designed for use with the CU Medical Systems iPAD NF1200 and NF1021 defibrillators. It includes everything required to act efficiently in an emergency such as a pocket face mask, gloves, razor, non-woven gauze and alcohol pad to prepare the casualty before defibrillation.

The refresher kit also includes 2 sets of CU Medical Systems electrode pads and 1 CU Medical Systems Battery, ensuring you have the essential consumables to keep your defibrillator ready for use.

How does the CU Medical Systems iPAD NF1200/NF1201 Refresher Kit help to prepare a casualty for defibrillation?

The CU Medical Systems iPAD NF1200/NF1202 Refresher Kit includes clear instructions to ensure the responder understands where to place the electrode pads on the casualty. The kit contains essential tools such as a razor to remove chest hair, non-woven gauze to dry the skin, and alcohol prep pads to clean the area. The included gloves protect the responder and the pocket face mask supports safe and efficient CPR if required.

How do you apply the CU Medical Systems NF1200 and NF1201 pads on female and male casualties?

There are clear guidelines on the pad pack. To apply the CU Medical Systems NF1200 and NF1201 pads effectively on female and male casualties, follow these steps:

    • Prepare the chest area: Remove all clothing from the casualty's upper body to expose the chest. If chest hair prevents the pads from adhering properly, use the razor included in the CU Medical iPAD NF1200/NF1201 Refresher Kit to shave the area.
    • Pad placement:
    • For female casualties: Place one pad on the upper right side of the chest, just below the collarbone, and the other pad on the left side of the chest, slightly below the armpit. Ensure pads avoid direct placement over breast tissue to maintain effective contact with the chest wall.
    • For male casualties: Position one pad on the upper right chest and the other on the left side of the chest, ensuring proper adherence.

Remember, in a Sudden Cardiac Arrest emergency, quick action is critical. Do not let modesty concerns delay exposing the casualty's chest, male or female, as proper pad placement is essential for delivering an effective shock.

What is the lifespan of the CU Medical Systems NF1200/NF1201 Electrode Pads pads?

The CU Medical Systems NF1200/NF1201 Electrode Pads have a lifespan of up to 3 years. These single-use pads must be replaced after each use, even if no shock was delivered. Expired or used pads may not work effectively in an emergency and compromise the defibrillator’s ability to deliver a lifesaving shock.

We offer a free battery and pad reminder service to ensure your lifesaving equipment is always ready for use.
