What is the Brayden CPR Baby with White Lights?

The Brayden CPR Baby with White Lights is a training manikin designed for practising cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on infants. This first aid doll features advanced technology, with built-in white LED lights to provide visual feedback on the quality of airway management and chest compressions.

How do I practice CPR using the Brayden CPR Baby with White Lights?

To practice CPR using the Brayden CPR Baby with White Lights manikin, follow these steps:

  1. Place the training manikin on its back and gently lift the chin using your finger to open the airways.
  2. Take the index and middle fingers, and locate the centre of the manikin’s chest.
  3. Push down to around a third of the depth of the chest in rapid compressions. Aim for 100-120 per minute.
  4. After every 30 compressions, give two rescue breaths by covering the manikin’s nose and mouth with your mouth and blowing gently.
  5. Watch for the white LED lights illuminating and the chest rising - indicating correct ventilation and quality of chest compressions.

What maintenance is required for the Brayden CPR Baby with White Lights?

The Brayden CPR Baby with White Lights requires minimal maintenance. The disposable lungs and airways inside the manikin require replacing after each use for hygiene and operational purposes. Regular cleaning is also advisable to reduce the spread of germs in between uses, especially after practising rescue breathing.

How does the Brayden CPR Baby with White Lights differ from other Baby CPR manikins?

Brayden’s CPR Baby with White Lights is the first training manikin to provide visual feedback during CPR. These guide the responder when applying chest compressions, ensuring maximum depth and quality. The responder is able to clearly see the effects of their delivery, with realistic chest movements following successful ventilation efforts.

Is specialist training required to use the Brayden CPR Baby with White Lights manikin?

No. The Brayden CPR Baby with White Lights manikin is designed for both trained professionals and CPR-beginners. Full instructions for use are provided, and if you require further assistance with training, we offer a range of training courses through our accredited partner Imperative Training.
