The Primedic HeartSave myPAD Core Semi Automatic Defibrillator is the latest model introduced by Primedic. How does the Primedic HeartSave myPAD Core Semi-Automatic differ from other Primedic defibrillators?

Primedic’s new HeartSave myPAD is smaller than other defibrillators in the range. It also comes with six language options as opposed to the standard two offered with previous HeartSave models, making it suitable for diverse public spaces. A high IP66 rating makes it more durable and water-resistant, catering to more rugged environments such as construction sites or outdoor leisure centres. Offering a more visual user experience, the new HeartSave myPAD offers a 4.3” colour touchscreen with animated instructions, ECG readings, battery status, and more.

What maintenance is required for the Primedic HeartSave myPAD Core Semi-Automatic AED?

With advanced technology compared to older models, the Primedic HeartSave myPAD Core requires minimal maintenance. A non-rechargeable battery is available, with an expiry date of five years. The HeartSave myPAD electrode pads offer an increased lifespan of five years (three years longer than standard defibrillator pads), and are suitable for use on both adults and children, thanks to a built-in child mode. With these advancements, the Primedic HeartSave myPAD Core keeps maintenance costs down, bringing long-term savings and convenience.

How does the Primedic HeartSave myPAD Core Semi-Automatic defibrillator work?

The semi-automatic Primedic HeartSave myPAD Core uses the electrode pads to analyse the casualty’s heart rhythm. If a shockable heart rhythm, the result of ventricular fibrillation (VF) or pulseless ventricular tachycardia (VT) is detected, the defibrillator will prompt the responder to press the shock button. Once pressed, the defibrillator sends a shock to try and restart the casualty’s heart and establish a normal heart rhythm. Clear, concise voice prompts and animated instructions guide the responder through each stage of the process, eliminating the risk of injury or ‘accidental’ shock delivery.

Who is the Primedic HeartSave myPAD Core Semi-Automatic defibrillator designed for?

The Primedic HeartSave myPAD is known as the Personal Access Defibrillator, designed for use on any casualty, by any responder. With a highly visual user experience, clear audible voice prompts, and CPR guidance, the HeartSave myPAD is suitable for both trained responders and untrained bystanders. The dual-use electrode pads are suitable for use on both adults and children, with a child button adapting the defibrillator for younger casualties. This removes the need for separate paediatric pads, for added convenience and cost-efficiency.

Why does the compact size of the myPAD Core matter in an emergency?

In an emergency, speed and straightforwardness are essential. The smaller size of the myPAD Core makes it more convenient to retrieve and carry, reducing the time it takes to bring the defibrillator to the casualty. Whether it’s stored in a small office, vehicle, or sports kit bag, the compact design ensures it can be kept close to hand and quickly deployed when needed.
