The Primedic HeartSave myPAD Core Fully Automatic differs from the Semi-Automatic HeartSave myPAD, as it delivers a shock automatically once a shockable heart rhythm is detected. This happens without the responder having to press a button, unlike the semi-automatic model, reducing response times and bringing more convenience to the responder. Other than shock delivery, the fully-automatic Primedic HeartSave myPAD shares the same features as the semi-automatic model, including CPR feedback and touchscreen application.
What maintenance is required for the Primedic HeartSave myPAD Core Fully Automatic?
Maintenance for the Primedic HeartSave myPAD Core Fully Automatic is straightforward, with minimal effort required to ensure top performance and readiness. The non-rechargeable HeartSave myPAD battery offers a five-year expiry. Unlike most other electrode pads, the HeartSave myPAD Core’s defibrillator pads also offer a five-year expiry (three years more than standard). Other than replacing the pads and non-rechargeable battery before expiry, regular cleaning following use or periods of inactivity is all that’s required to maintain the Primedic HeartSave myPAD.
How does the Primedic HeartSave myPAD Core Fully Automatic work?
As a fully-automatic defibrillator, the Primedic HeartSave myPAD Core Fully Automatic requires minimal intervention from the responder. Once the electrode pads are applied to the casualty’s chest, the defibrillator analyses the heart rhythm. If a shockable heart rhythm is detected, it will then deliver a shock automatically without delay, informing the responder to stay clear. The responder is then instructed to continue CPR with voice commands and an audible metronome to guide chest compressions.
