Defibtech Lifeline View and ECG: The Next-Level AEDs
Defibtech’s Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are renowned for reliability and ease of use. The Defibtech Lifeline range features a distinctive design and advanced technology, making it suitable for both trained and untrained responders in a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) emergency.
Moving up the range, Defibtech’s AEDs offer more sophisticated technology for enhanced precision and multi-functional capabilities. This blog introduces you to the Defibtech Lifeline View and Defibtech Lifeline ECG models, identifying key features to aid your SCA emergency response.
Defibtech Lifeline View
The Defibtech Lifeline View is the first defibrillator to provide both verbal and visual instructions during the defibrillation process. With a full-colour display screen, responders are given added confidence, knowing they are being guided through each stage of the process. From preparing the casualty for treatment, to pad placement and delivering quality chest compressions during CPR.
Responders are able to choose their mode of delivery - whether this is compression-only CPR or with rescue breathing, depending on their level of experience. The device adjusts its instructions to match the chosen method, providing clear, tailored guidance to support effective resuscitation. Durable and lightweight in design, the Defibtech Lifeline View AED is convenient to handle and transport in an emergency, with rubberised sides and a grip handle.
Defibtech Lifeline ECG
The Defibtech Lifeline ECG is more than just a defibrillator. In addition to life-saving defibrillation technology, it is also equipped with ECG monitoring. This allows responders to display a casualty’s ECG data while in defibrillation mode, for active heart rhythm monitoring.
Like the Defibtech Lifeline, the Lifeline ECG also offers video guidance for each stage of response, accompanied by verbal instructions. This is automatically adapted based on if the responder selects compression-only CPR or with rescue breathing. The one-touch status screen allows responders to quickly determine whether the device is ready to use, without turning it on. This provides an overview of the AED’s status, pad and battery status, along with expiration dates and serial numbers.
Choosing the Right Defibtech Lifeline for You
Both the Defibtech Lifeline View and Lifeline ECG are suitable for a wide range of environments. The full-colour screen and video demonstrations are especially appealing for those looking to improve their confidence with practical coaching. Maintenance is also simplified with real-time reporting, monitoring all key components of the device, with maintenance videos to supplement the user manual. This enables all responders or guardians to effectively maintain their device and ensure operational readiness.
If you are wondering whether the Defibtech Lifeline View or Lifeline ECG is right for you, consider the following:
- The environment it is intended for - the Defibtech Lifeline View offers an accessible option for schools or other educational institutions, while the Defibtech Lifeline ECG is appropriate for more clinical environments.
- The people using it - Choosing a defibrillator that is accessible to both trained and untrained responders helps maximise the chances of survival in a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).
- Semi or fully-automatic functionality - The Defibtech Lifeline View is available in semi or fully-automatic options, while the Defibtech Lifeline ECG is semi-automatic only. The right model for you depends on the level of intervention you would like to have with your Defibtech AED.
With their next-level technology and innovative design, the Defibtech Lifeline View and Lifeline ECG models offer more than the standard AED. Whether comprehensive guidance with the Lifeline View or multi-functional capabilities with the Lifeline ECG. Both Defibtech AEDs allow responders to approach responsiveness in an SCA with increased confidence, with clear visual and voice instructions to guide them.
More Information
What maintenance do the Defibtech Lifeline View and Lifeline ECG AEDs require?
Both the Defibtech Lifeline View and Lifeline ECG AEDs require regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance. This includes regular cleaning of your device to keep it free from dust or debris and ready for use.
Whichever device you choose, the pads and batteries need to be replaced after certain intervals. This is normally:
- After each use for Defibtech Lifeline defibrillator pads (or every two years if left unused)
- Every four years for the battery
- Keep on top of your replacements with our free battery and pad reminder service.
How does the Defibtech Lifeline View and Lifeline ECG differ from the Lifeline AED?
The Defibtech Lifeline View and Lifeline ECG both feature a full-colour display screen, not featured on the standard Lifeline AED. This enables a visual walk-through of the emergency response procedure, giving responders comprehensive support from preparation to CPR. The Lifeline ECG comes with specific ECG monitoring also not featured with other models, allowing casualty data to be displayed and monitored throughout.
