Is the ZOLL AED Pro Semi-Automatic suitable for children?
Using the Pedi-padz II electrodes, the AED Pro semi-automatic defibrillator can defibrillate children aged 1–8. When the Pedi-padz II are attached, the AED Pro detects that a paediatric rescue is underway.
What is the difference between Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS)?
BLS and ALS are the two forms of life support. In comparison, the main goal of BLS is to help the casualty during the time it takes the emergency services to arrive. BLS is performed without the use of drugs and instead, includes CPR and the use of an AED.
ALS is provided by highly trained professionals at the scene of an emergency or in a hospital environment
