When you order an Annual Defibrillator Service online, our customer service team will be in touch to arrange an appointment.
Our Annual AED Service is available to anyone who owns a defibrillator, whether purchased from defibshop or not.
Our Annual AED Service is also included within our defibrillator Maintenance Contracts.
NB: Please ensure you select the correct service band for the location of the defibrillator to be serviced. defibshop cannot be held responsible for incorrect selection.
*Test shock excludes Lifepak CR+ and Heartsine models.
If you own a Lifepak CR+, we recommend considering an upgrade, as this model has now been discontinued and reports suggest older batteries may not hold charge as effectively due to the age of the unit.

What's Included
Every defibrillator performs regular self checks and includes a status indicator to show the unit is operational.
For added peace of mind, defibshop offers an industry leading Annual AED Service and recommends servicing your defibrillator yearly to ensure it remains rescue ready.
Our comprehensive service includes:

Visual inspection of the defibrillator, including the case, screen, buttons and connections

Battery and electrode pad expiry date checks

Inspection of the pad terminal for functionality and debris

Confirmation that the pads attached are suitable for the device and in good condition

Simulated shock test* to ensure the unit responds correctly to shockable and non shockable heart rhythms

Calibration certification*
To successfully complete the service and receive certification, electrode pads and batteries must be in date.

How much does it cost to service a defibrillator?
This depends on the service provider you use. At defibshop, our defibrillator servicing prices vary based on location, split into 3 bands. The further your location, the higher the costs of servicing your defibrillator. If you choose one of our maintenance contracts, you’ll receive annual defibrillator servicing included as part of your plan, helping you control costs while ensuring the best quality care for your defibrillator.
Does a defibrillator need to be serviced?
Yes. To ensure operational readiness and performance, defibrillators need to be regularly serviced. This is especially important if your device is used in an emergency, to check that the battery and internal systems continue to perform optimally before placing your AED back in service.
How often should a defibrillator be serviced?
We recommend annual servicing to check your defibrillator’s performance, especially following use in a real emergency or after long periods left in storage. As part of our annual servicing, a qualified technician will test your device using our device simulator, ensuring your defibrillator continues to deliver the power needed in an emergency to provide effective, life-saving treatment.
