The Customer Lifecycle of a Defibrillator

The Customer Lifecycle of a Defibrillator

By purchasing a defibrillator, you are making a positive decision to care for the people around you. Approximately 30,000 deaths occur each year in the UK as a result of sudden cardiac arrest.

Many of these deaths could have been avoided if CPR and defibrillation had been administered within 3-5 minutes of the cardiac arrest taking place.

A defibrillator has a long lifecycle and you should expect an active warranty to last between 5-10 years, depending on the model.

Impartial purchasing advice and free shipping

As an independent stockist, we are proud to offer impartial advice and help with finding the best device for your needs and budget. Check out our buyer’s guide for some great tips and advice on finding the perfect defibrillator for you.

Prior to your device being dispatched from our warehouse, a detailed inspection takes place to ensure it reaches you in perfect working condition.

Keeping an eye on your pads

Should you use your device within the first two years after purchasing a defibrillator from us, we will replace the electrode pads for free.

We also get in touch with you before your pads are due to expire to give time for them to be replaced. This ensures your life-saving device is always ready to be used in an emergency.

Giving your defibrillator a regular health check

To ensure your device stays in tip-top condition year in, year out, we recommend getting an annual check. One of our expert engineers visits you, conduct tests to ensure your defibrillator has a working battery, clean pads and connections to check the device is ready for use in an emergency. Our experts are happy to answer any questions you may have about your device when they visit.

Helping you care for and retire older defibrillators

If you have not needed to use your defibrillator by the end of its warranty, you should consider your next steps for the device. As all of our defibrillators carry out regular self-tests, their alarm systems will make you aware of any maintenance problems. If you encounter problems that occur outside of warranty, you must pay for the repair yourself. These are costs that start to approach the price of investing in a brand new defibrillator. At this point, we recommend investing in a new device and starting the lifecycle over again.

We are here to cover every aspect of your defibrillation needs from investing in your lifesaving defibrillator to ensuring it remains in perfect condition for years to come.
