16th Warrington West (1st Burtonwood) Scouts
16th Warrington West is a thriving Scout district based in Warrington, Cheshire, providing opportunities for young people aged 4 to 25 to develop confidence, teamwork, leadership and practical life skills. As part of the wider UK Scouts movement, the district supports a range of sections including Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Network.
Made up of 14 Scout Groups and supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, Warrington West Scouts offers a wide variety of activities such as camping, hiking, outdoor adventure, community projects and skills-based learning. The organisation promotes inclusion, personal growth and the Scout values of integrity, respect, care and cooperation.
Each week, across all five of our sections, we help over eighty young people enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed.
Our Strategy to 2035 will help us keep the focus on what we do best - giving young people a place to belong and giving them the skills to thrive.
Warrington West Scouts are proud to receive a generous defibrillator donation from Defibshop for Scout HQ helping to improve the safety and wellbeing of everyone who uses the facility.
The donation will provide vital emergency equipment that could help save lives during Scout meetings, community events, and activities held at the hut. As a group dedicated to supporting young people and the wider community, Warrington West Scouts are incredibly grateful for the support and generosity shown through this donation.
Warrington West Scouts continue to provide young people with opportunities to develop confidence, teamwork, leadership, and valuable #SkillsForLife through adventurous activities and community involvement. (warringtonwestscouts.org.uk)
