Can responders with varying first-aid abilities use the Defibtech Lifeline Semi-Automatic AED?

Anyone can use the Lifeline AED Semi-Automatic Defibrillator, including bystanders and certified first responders. The rescuer must put the pads on the casualty, listen to the voice instructions, and if the unit instructs that a shock is required, the rescuer should press the shock button when instructed.

The unit is bright yellow, making it easy to spot in any environment.

How do you perform checks on a Defibtech Semi-Automatic lifeline AED?

The unit performs self-tests daily, weekly, and monthly, but we recommend checking your defibrillator regularly to ensure your confidence in its ability to save lives. A small green light indicates that the unit is ready for use.

To avoid drainage, the unit uses a 9v battery rather than the main life-saving battery to perform these checks.

Is the Defibtech Lifeline Semi-Automatic AED simple to use?

Yes, designed for medically trained users and laypeople, the Lifeline Semi-Automatic AED is simple, clear, and straightforward. There are two buttons on the unit, a green button to turn the defibrillator on and a red one to deliver a shock to the casualty if needed.

How is the Defibtech Lifeline Semi-Automatic AED transportable?

The lightweight, fully integrated design with a wide handle ensures the device is simple to transport.

With no lids or moving pieces that would confuse or hinder a rescue, responders can easily take the Lifeline Semi-Automatic AED to the casualty.
