In 2013 the SP1 defibrillator gained recognition when it was a nominated device for the British Heart Foundation to be involved in their part funded scheme. The programme was developed to help place defibrillators in locations across the country where there is a need for the units to be available.
The SP1 was put through a rigorous testing procedure and came out the victor. For three years this particular defibrillator was involved in the scheme and placed throughout the UK with the financial backing of the BHF.
