The ZOLL AED Plus is easily distinguishable by its lime green colour and use of a single electrode rather than two.

Ease of Use

The AED Plus is available in two options. Option one, called the AED Plus Defibrillator, this has a non-pictorial front panel and behaves just like any other AED on the market but has the added benefit of feedback enabling you to deliver good quality CPR.

Option 2, called the AED Plus Lay Responder Defibrillator has a pictorial front panel and is designed to prompt the rescuer through the full chain of survival and also includes ZOLL’s Real CPR Help technology.

Both devices have a back lit LCD screen which provides text prompts, the number of shocks delivered, elapsed time and a CPR compression bar which indicates the depth of chest compressions.

An audible dynamic metronome helps the rescuer maintain the correct rate of CPR. An ECG trace can also be configured to be displayed on the screen.

ZOLL’s electrodes are pre connected (adult or paediatric) to the AED Plus and therefore are always ready for use.

The ZOLL CPR D Padz  have a 5 year shelf life longer than any other defibrillator electrode available today.

Another unique feature of the ZOLL AED Plus is its power source. The AED uses ten standard photo 3V 1.3Ah Lithium Manganese Dioxide batteries which can deliver up to 300 shocks or 13 hours of continuous monitoring. These are available from most retail outlets and do not have to be purchased from the manufacturer.

Rescuers can be assured that the AED Plus will always be ready for use as it has a built in automatic self test function that tests for and alerts you of any problems. (e.g. such as low battery, circuit failure, electrode presence)

Every AED Plus is delivered with a FREE training DVD which instructs you on how to set up and use the AED.
